January 26 Sermon by Mark Gosney
Mark Gosney is a native of South Boston and has lived in the Paces community with his wife Pill for 40 years. They have two children and four grandchildren all living in Halifax County. Mark is an Elder at Mercy Seat Presbyterian Church in Sutherlin, Va. He is the Piping Division manager at Comfort Systems USA MidAtlantic in South Boston and has served as a lay speaker within our Presbytery for over 20 years.
February 2 Sermon by Ed Lyons
Ed Lyons is the Director of Ministry Advancement & Field Reporting Services for Persecution Project Foundation, a ministry to the persecuted Christians in Sudan, headquartered in Culpeper, Va. Ed has worked for Persecution Project Foundation since 2006. He travels to Kenya and Sudan three to four times a year and travels the country speaking at churches and other organizations about the work that PPF is doing to advance the kingdom of God in Africa. During Sunday School, Ed will present information about Persecution Project which will be a foundation on which his sermon during worship time will be focused.
