“The Hand We See” by Ed Lyons

Scriptures: Hebrews 12: 1-3, 2 Kings 6: 8-23  

Ed Lyons is the Director of Ministry Advancement & Field Reporting Services for Persecution Project Foundation, a ministry to the persecuted Christians in Sudan, headquartered in Culpeper, Va. Ed has worked for Persecution Project Foundation since 2006.   He travels to Kenya and Sudan three to four times a year and travels the country speaking at churches and other organizations about the work that PPF is doing to advance the kingdom of God in Africa. During Sunday School, Ed will present information about Persecution Project which will be a foundation on which his sermon during worship time will be focused.

Sermon by Jane Lyon

Jane Lyon’s signature for almost two decades has been designing and leading inclusive and diverse ecumenical Bible study opportunities for women in communities large and small. Jane is the CEO of Whole Woman Conference, Inc. which features her original writing and programming.
Jane was awarded the Master of Divinity degree by Duke University. As an ordained clergy, Jane served as Senior Pastor of Antioch Baptist Church in Charlotte Co, VA for 7 years. Jane earned a BS in Economics from the University of North Carolina at Greensboro. Before her full time ministry, Jane had a wide-ranging background in Human Resources and marketing. Jane and her husband Michael own businesses in South Boston and Clarksville.
