Matthew & Teresa Lee

Matthew and Teresa Lee serve with Wycliffe Bible Translators in Cameroon, West Africa. Wycliffe’s vision is for God’s word to be accessible to all people in the language of their heart.  Wycliffe works with other organizations around the world to translate scripture into the nearly 2,000 remaining languages of the world that still need it.

Matthew is a Language Technology Specialist for Wycliffe.   He has the opportunity to teach cool Bible Translation, linguistic, and literacy tools to Cameroonians and Missionaries. Working together with teams across the country, he gets to see measurable progress in Bibles and Dictionaries, as well as work with the translators to solve daily troubles.  He also writes training materials for French-speaking Africa. When needed, he communicates user problems and ideas to the software developers and tests new tools.

Teresa has a heart is for working with children. In Cameroon she is teaching kindergarten to missionary students at the Greenhouse School.

Matthew is from South Boston, Virginia. He graduated James Madison University (JMU) in 2006 and has a double major in Integrated Science and Technology and Philosophy.
