Transition to IAFR

By now, all of our friends and supporters should know about our transition out of International Teams (IT) and into a new organization called the International Association for Refugees (IAFR), effective after March 31, 2010. Since January, we have been taking the necessary steps to make the transition successful, contacting our colleagues and stepping out of my current responsibilities, writing supporters and getting their feedback, setting up the new systems and coordinating all the changes. God has blessed the past 15 years of service with IT, where we could contribute to the growth of the organization in significant ways, helping to launch new ministries and seeing refugees receive Christ and grow in their faith.

As we continue our ministry now through IAFR, we will remain in France, steadfast in our calling, serving as IAFR's European leader with the mandate to come alongside refugees who as leaders are called and committed to the gospel, to show up even more on the lonely crossroads of the refugee highway and to support local churches with a vision for the same, through resources and increased awareness. Please stay tuned and stand in prayer for us as we fulfill this great calling!

Support through IAFR

Our service with IT will end on March 31, 2010, but we will have a severance period with IT until June, during which time IT will continue to send us any financial support that might still be given to IT for us. However, our service with IAFR begins in less than 2 weeks on April 1st, (No April fool's joke!) and all financial gifts to our ministry should be given through IAFR at that time. All gifts should be designated for "the Sydnors" and sent to IAFR at the organization address below. I would like to encourage any regular donors to set-up an electronic funds transfer by contacting me or downloading the form from the website.

We will have the same support needs and ministry budget as we have had up to this point. In fact we still have about $4000.00 in expenses from last year, that we have not been able to get reimbursed because our account has not had enough funds. IT would like to clear these expenses off the books, and to do so it will have to reduce or cancel our salary for this coming month in order to have enough funds to reimburse these expenses. In the end, it all comes from the same place and so we continue to trust God to supply our needs through our many generous supporters.

Thanks to God for all his blessings,

Paul and Reinhild
